This is the tool behind a lot of our fieldwork, a FARO scanner on the tripod.

Each scan position captures millions of measured points, and we register those scans together into a single point cloud accurate enough to work from directly. From there we produce measured building surveys, as-built models and scan-to-BIM deliverables to whatever level of detail your project needs.

The hardware matters, but the result is what counts: a survey you can trust for design, coordination and construction. If you have a building or site that needs measuring, we can talk you through the options and turnaround.

A large aircraft hangar like this one is a big job to measure by hand. Steel cladding, bracing towers, tall sliding doors and a wide concrete apron all add up, and a tape measure won't keep pace with it.

We set the FARO scanner up across a run of positions, with targets placed to tie every scan together into one accurate point cloud. From that we can produce as-built drawings, floor plans, elevations or a full BIM model, depending on what the client needs.

Here's a scan setup you don't see every day. The scanner is dropped on a pole into an underground chamber while the operator stays safely at ground level.

Operating the scanner when it's in that position isnt the easiest, so we have the controls set up and linked to the ipad.

For water and wastewater infrastructure this means accurate as-built records of chambers, wet wells and pump stations, ready for scan-to-BIM or clash detection. If you have assets that are awkward to access, we can talk through the safest way to capture them.
