🏗️ Progress continues on our Southend hotel project, with the first-floor level now complete and work underway on the second-floor section.

The build includes fire-rated floor cassettes and internal fire-rated sheathing, with external insulation being fitted on site as the structure progresses. The patressing package installation is also due to follow.

With key elements manufactured off site before being efficiently installed on site, this project is a great example of how timber frame construction can support quality, consistency and programme efficiency.

Another brilliant year at the Kent Construction EXPO for our OFP team.

It was a great opportunity to showcase what we do, talk timber frame and catch up with familiar faces and meet plenty of new ones from across the industry.

🏗️ Another exciting hotel project getting underway for OFP Timber Frame at Southend-on-Sea

Preparations are well underway for a new 44-bedroom, four-storey extension to an existing hotel, with our 12-week programme set to begin in mid-September.

Slab checks are now taking place ahead of installation, with OFP delivering the fire-rated timber frame panels and floor cassettes across all four floors.

A great project to have in the pipeline and one we’re looking forward to seeing take shape over the coming months.

Phase 3 is underway at Cranleigh 🏗️

We’re pleased to have recently started Phase 3 of our long-standing Cranleigh project, continuing our work on a development we’re proud to be part of.

And we’re already making great progress, with the first 6 of 45 units now complete.

A great start to the latest phase and another milestone for the team. A big well done to everyone on site for keeping things moving and delivering a strong start to Phase 3. 👏

We’re proud to have supported the creation of the new Spiritual Reflection Garden at The Downs CEP School, officially opened today by The Rt Revd Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Bishop of Dover and Canterbury.

OFP donated timber for the garden’s planters, benches and borders, which were then brought to life by the school and its students, creating a dedicated space for reflection, wellbeing and connection.

It was a privilege for our team to attend the opening ceremony and see first-hand the impact this project has had on the school community. The garden stands as a fantastic example of what can be achieved when local organisations, schools and students work together to create something meaningful and lasting.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful space to life.

A few members of the OFP team swapped timber frame manufacturing for obstacle courses and team challenges recently as we took part in the Vice-Chancellor’s Business Games.

It was a brilliant day spent with businesses from across Kent, bringing people together through a bit of friendly competition, plenty of laughs and the occasional test of endurance!

While there were a few competitive moments, the real value was spending time together outside of the workplace, meeting new people and supporting a fantastic cause. This year’s event raised funds for East Kent Mencap, an organisation doing incredible work to support people with learning disabilities across our local communities.

Well done to the winners! Canterbury Rugby Club! 🏉 🏆
