Really enjoying this one, fab kit from Ideal Commercial. Two Evomax 2 80KW boilers into a Low loss header. Back next week for more pipe bashing. Will be providing heat for swimming pool via a plate heat exchanger. Old flue vents are going to be removed and some new ventilation put into plant room to keep temperature down.

Big day today. Hot and cold water on, heating air tested and then filled. Gas purged and boiler lit.
Just little bits left to do on this job. 👨🏻‍🔧

Hi guys
Realised I have not posted for a while. I have had four largish jobs on the go that I am splitting my time between and just about to start a Commercial one for two boilers in cascade to heat an external swimming pool. Pics show when I was ripping out the old Hamworthy Purewells.
I have DH Price new garage unit that is nearing completion. Full second fix of plant room, radiators, disabled WC, kitchen areas, sanitary ware and workshop plumbing facilities
A property in Sandown that has had a full refurb and only a bit to finish.
A flat in Ryde that is having a refurb- new boiler, new rads, en-suite update and the last two days I have been helping to install the kitchen.
A shower room that has just completed working with a builder friend.
Alongside all of my annual servicing and gas safety checks.
It’s all good and sorry if I have a bit of lead time for new works. I’m trying to get these all complete before heating season starts. 👨🏻‍🔧
Have a great weekend guys!

Time for these two old fellas to go! 👨🏻‍🔧

Advice given on the bird nest of cables above the boilers, I think the ceiling has collapsed at some point.

Panasonic RAC solo 2.5kw installed, sound clips for anyone that’s interested in buying one. They are fab! Maybe not the quietest but as least the house does not look like a commercial unit. After a day of working in the heat is is so nice to come home to a cool living room! This is on full on cooling mode, my wife has added the bowl to water the plants 🤣🫡

In this hot weather I’ve had a little research into cooling as well. I don’t really want to do F Gas qualifications for full on air conditioning installation and i appreciate the guys that do this for a living as HVAC installers so don’t want to tread on any other toes.
I did find a unit that does not require F Gas as it is an indoor unit, pre charged and ready to go. it is a heat pump so that helps me using it and learning so I can advise in the future as I’m sure we are all going that way. Spec says looking at about 3.2 COP so for every 1kw in 3.2kw out. This one seems to be pulling about 700watts and blimey it’s cooling the room down.
It’s not cheap, drilling massive holes through the wall is a pain but end result- brill 😆
Bonus is that in the winter it heats as well at the same efficiency, il see how it goes but for today it’s a win!
Dehumidifier as well apparently, I got my nipper to add it to the WiFi so everyone’s had a go on the app apart from me as I’m knackered 😴

I need to work out what to do externally but this is a bit of a prototype for me.
I need to figure out what to do with the external vents as I’m not so sure about the large openings outside but il come up with something 👨🏻‍🔧
Maybe a good shout for someone that wants heating and cooling, weathers getting weird. Il see how this one goes through the year.
See ya 🫡

Hiya guys, had an emergency call out Friday evening and just wanted that put a shout out to check your shower pumps if you have one fitted. I’ve not seen this happen before but unfortunately a customer of mine had an old shower pump hose completely detach/ shear off and flooded down through a ceiling. This pump was fitted 2015 and the plastic hose has completely parted company.
Not trying to scare monger, just saying have a look around at bits but don’t poke them if they look sad 🙂

2️⃣ plumbing jobs in as many days! A neighbour had a bit of a disaster with UV degraded waste pipework and lost use of washing machine and kitchen sink. Booked in last minute and dodged the rain to get this back working 👨🏻‍🔧
