I’ve been thinking a lot about how easily artists lose trust in their own seeing.
Not because we lack skill — but because we learn to move too quickly toward outcomes.
Somewhere along the way, the first mark stops being a question and starts being a decision.
I’m working quietly on something that returns to that earlier moment —
before technique, before confidence, before judgement.
