This one belonged to a 98-year-old gentleman whose daughter contacted me from Poole because both the filling and flushing mechanisms had stopped working.

Space inside the older cistern was very limited, but with a compact Thomas Dudley siphon and new fill valve I managed to get everything fitted and the toilet back up and running.

I kept his daughter updated throughout the job as she couldn't be there herself — and afterwards she very kindly left Just Toilets another ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Google review.

**A little surprise on our usual dog walk... 🐕**

I walk along the top of **Harnham Hill every day** with the dog and I've walked straight past this without ever noticing it.

Today she suddenly became very interested in something off the path. I wondered what on earth she was doing — and went over to make sure she hadn't knocked anything over!

That's when I spotted this little hidden fairy garden.

If you're walking along the top of Harnham Hill, near the steps, keep your eyes open and see if you can find it.

How many times have you walked past it without noticing? 🧚

Lovely to spot seven ducklings at Harnham Old Mill today. They were all hurrying along to catch up with Mum just out of shot.

It's great to see a breeding pair raising ducklings here, and hopefully they'll all make it safely through the coming weeks.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another happy customer

Sometimes it's not just about fitting a new toilet—it's about making sure the job is finished properly.

On this installation, the new toilet had a manufacturing fault that caused a leak from the ceramic itself. Rather than leaving the customer with a problem, I arranged for a replacement and returned on another day to install it at no extra cost.

I'm pleased the customer was happy with the finished result and took the time to leave this review:

"All work was done to a high standard and I'm very pleased with the outcome."

Thank you for your kind words. Reviews like this really do help local businesses.

If you're looking for a reliable local plumber in Salisbury for a toilet installation, toilet repair or general plumbing repairs, I'd be happy to help.

🚽 Can you spot the problem?

This was a brand-new toilet pan that leaked as soon as it was installed.

It wasn't the flush pipe.
It wasn't the pan connector.
It wasn't the installation.

The leak turned out to be a manufacturing fault in the ceramic casting of the toilet pan.

Sometimes the least obvious fault is the right one.

Hissing, whistling or loud refilling after a flush is usually caused by a worn fill valve.

It’s a common repair and often sorted in one visit if access is straightforward.

If your toilet’s making more noise than it should, feel free to message the page.
