Another project moving into the technical design stage.

These preliminary Building Regulation drawings are for a garage extension designed to provide additional storage and a new utility space for the existing dwelling, while making the most of a relatively constrained footprint.

The design carefully responds to the existing dwelling, with the garage sitting askew to the house. The proposal works with this existing arrangement by abutting the existing dwelling and incorporating a stepped roof to achieve a clean connection beneath the existing eaves, while extending directly to the boundary to maximise the available space.

A practical addition, carefully designed around the existing home and how it needs to work for everyday living.

A new balcony. A new perspective.

This project involved a replacement balcony, carefully designed to maximise views across the beautiful New Forest while remaining sensitive to its surroundings.

Drawings were produced to secure planning permission, ensuring the proportions, materials, and detailing were right for both the property and its setting.

The balcony was expertly constructed by The Mighty Oak, bringing the vision to life with quality craftsmanship.

Really pleased to share that this garage extension has just received planning approval.

The proposal extends the existing garage to form additional storage and create a new utility space, while also improving privacy from the neighbouring property - a small footprint change, but a big improvement to how the home functions day-to-day.

Even better...approval came through three weeks before the official decision date. Anyone who deals with planning regularly will know how rare that is.

A great result for our client and a reminder that clear drawings, a well-considered design, and a proactive approach can make all the difference.

Recently fitted replacement casement window manufacturered and fitted by incorporating fully painted hardwood, 4mm single glazing, and true glazing bars to replicate the style of the existing window.

Scale drawings including stile, rail, head, sill, and glazing bar details are often required to be submitted either as part of the initial Listed Building application, or in response to a later request in the form of a planning condition to ensure the proposed detailing is sympathetic to the Listed Building.
