Heating Engineer vacancy

Peach Heating Ltd is a growing, family-run heating and mechanical services company based in Salisbury. We are looking for an experienced Heating Engineer to join our team and play an important role in delivering high-quality work for our domestic and commercial customers.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable heating engineer who takes pride in their workmanship and provides a professional service to customers.

The role will involve a range of heating and plumbing work, including installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding.

The Ideal Candidate

You will need:

* Gas Safe registered
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience post-apprenticeship
* Strong knowledge of domestic heating systems
* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* A professional approach and good customer service skills
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A full UK driving licence
* Clean, recent enhanced DBS with barring checks, or the ability to pass one.

The following qualifications and experience would be advantageous, but are not essential:

* Commercial Gas and/or COMCAT
* OFTEC domestic
* F-Gas and air conditioning

Salary & Benefits

£40,000 - £60,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications and level of competence.

Was your heating system struggling last year?

Radiators with cold spots at the bottom? is your filter caked with sludge every year on the service? Burning through pumps at a rate of knots?

You might need a powerflush to get it back to a condition where it can work efficiently and without the numbers issues which start with a dirty system.

A water quality test is carried out on all boiler services so we'll let you know if there's an issue if you're a service customer, if not, we can still quote for it if you feel you need a system clean.

Training day at AFI Wi******er!

All of the field team have been on training for the safe use of MEWPs on an iPAF accredited course. Some on renewals, some on initials, but all passed with flying colours.

We're ready to react to the impending demand when factories and warehouses fire up their high level heaters for the first time in 6 months!

Air conditioning madness!

All of our customers who have placed orders will be receiving updates as we receive them from our supply chain, but they are some hefty lead times on some units from most manufacturers. Please rest assured, we are chasing regularly on your behalf!

We have taken delivery of a small number of single split units this week and last week, with the following still available:
3x Daikin wifi enabled Comfora 2.5kw single split units
1x Clivet EZcool (with the dongle to allow wifi control) 3.5kw single split unit

2.5kw is usually enough to heat/cool a large bedroom, small-average living room, dining room, home office, garden room etc depending on room size, insulation levels and a few other factors

3.5kw is usually enough to heat/cool a larger living room, maybe an open plan kitchen/living room, barber shop, small retail units etc

Nice little plant room installation this week for a pub/small hotel.

❄️ Old worn out domestic boilers and cylinders removed
💡 Controls, pumps and wiring stripped out
🧹 Quick clean of the room before the magic happens
🔥 New 80Kw Evomax Commercial boiler fitted
🏠 Roofing work carried out to patch the old flue hole and fit the new larger flue
💦 New 500 Litre unvented hot water cylinder with a quick recovery coil
🛠️Plant room repiped
✅ New header, pumps and controls fitted for maximum efficiency and performance
✅ Controls rewired with new trunking fitted to keep it neat

All up and running, tested and handed over to the client! As much as we like coming to this site, it’ll be nice to have a few winters without call-outs and breakdowns!!
