We’re delighted to announce that our project Anne’s Art Studio has been shortlisted for the Structural Timber Awards 2026 in the Custom and Self Build category.

The studio, a compact, contemporary building surrounded by mature trees, was built using Structurally Insulated Panels provided by Ecologic SIPs, and clad with striking charred Japanese cypress. A variety of window openings help provide generous natural light and views into the surrounding garden, creating a peaceful and inspiring space tailored to the client’s needs.

We can’t wait to celebrate with Ecologic and the other shortlisted projects at the awards ceremony in October.

For this full home renovation in Richmond, south-west London, the design focused on the sightlines — drawing you through the hallway, beneath the stair, and out to the garden beyond. Light, flow and connection were at the heart of every decision, with a large kitchen extension that opens into the garden creating a fluid indoor-outdoor living space.

Working closely with Atlas Planning throughout the process, we secured approval from the New Forest National Park Authority - a successful outcome for our client and an exciting step forward for the project.
