This is Frankie, our amazing apprentice… He has just won the C.A.M Star award for excellence and dedication in his studies at college, and for his amazing charity work with Go Make A Difference
We could not he more proud of what an amazing young man Frankie is growing into, and what a superstar engineer he is becoming!
Next step is his Gas qualifications and his Heat Geek journey!

Part 1: Adding plumbing to a 3 story accommodation block for volunteers in Tanzania. Completely off grid (solar & batteries being added and is all they have!). Only concrete silos to house the water. Needs plumbing for 9 showers, 3 toilets and a kitchen - and a filtration system too. Here’s part one of how we get the water running with just one pump! (Keen ears will know I meant 100 not 10 micron filters!)

Volunteering with Go Mad Tanzania.

We left England as a team of 3. Landed in Tanzania with other awesome Heat Geeks. Met the local gang on site (and what a site!). Immediately all became a massive team; working in 30 degree heat, some in flip flops!! All mucking in. Completed some immense and innovative plumbing, all done with only the tools we could pack in our suitcases.

Amazing work from EVERYONE! So proud of our apprentice () and our office manager even installed her first shower! But mostly it’s just such a privilege to have the opportunity to do charity work like this and to do it with our now extended heating family!

Who wants to join us next time?!
