Weekly Update from The Best Build Team

Myself and Nathan have been very busy this week with site meetings and there are some exciting things in store.

Here’s what’s been happening this week 👇

🔹 Salisbury (Extension)
The last bit of plastering is now complete and second-fix carpentry has started. Decoration is booked in for next week.

🔹 Salisbury (Refurbishment)
The plastering is now complete and the project is ready for flooring and decoration.

🔹 Enford (Extension)
The walls are going up and it’s great to see the extension starting to take shape.

🔹 Shrewton (External Transformation)
This project is almost complete, with everything getting ready for the glazing.

A big happy 21st birthday to Billy! 🎉 We hope you have an incredible time celebrating and enjoy your meal tonight. Have the best evening!

As The Best Build Team continues to grow, our Client Hub at Grateley Business Park has become an important part of how we work and welcome our clients.

With this in mind, we've decided to make Grateley our permanent business home, moving our office from Mills House to join our established Client Hub.

Please bear with us while we update our details across the business. 😊

Have a wonderful weekend!

Weekly Update from The Best Build Team

It’s been a bit of a rough week for me, Dan and Oscar as we’ve all been down with the stomach flu. Thankfully, we’re on the mend now and looking forward to a family weekend.

Here’s what’s been happening this week 👇

🔹 Enford (Extension)
The walls are now going up, and it’s great to see the extension starting to take shape.

🔹 Salisbury (Extension)
The utility is now finished, which is brilliant progress for this project.

🔹 Shrewton (External Refurbishment)
This one is now coming to an end, with just a few bits of roofline work left to finish off.

🔹 Fittleton (Internal Remodelling)
The tiling is now complete and the project is ready for second-fix carpentry.

This week’s photo is dedicated to one of our little gentlemen, who’s got himself a rather smart new cat flap and tunnel made by Nick!

As our client put it, “The Gruffalo loves his new cat flap and tunnel Nick made!” We’re very glad Gruff approves, clearly customer satisfaction comes in all shapes and sizes at The Best Build Team.🐾

That’s all from us this week. Have a lovely weekend.

We’ve also been fitting another utility at our other Salisbury project, making good progress with the internal works.

Friday Post

Paris has been doing a great job keeping the weekly updates flowing, but today she’s off with Dan as they head to a family wedding party!

We hope all the family have the most amazing time and we can’t wait to see the photos.

On Monday, I was in The Client Hub with Paris and Nathan for our regular Monday morning meeting. It’s a chance for the three of us to sit down, look back at the week that’s passed and plan for the week ahead.

We find this time invaluable, which is why it’s become a staple in our week. If Monday doesn’t work, Tuesday it is!

It’s also been great to have some lovely weather back this week

I’m looking forward to the weekend ahead and hope you all have a great one too.

Enjoy all!

Weekly Update from The Best Build Team

it’s Friday! Looking forward to the weekend. Although apparently I’ve got a very energetic toddler to keep up with… and Dan😅 so wish me luck 👶🏼

Here’s what we’ve been up to 👇

🔹 Salisbury City Centre (Internal Refurbishment)
We’re finishing off the internal refurbishment, with the space now plastered and the second fix carpentry underway.

🔹 Salisbury (Renovation)
The first fix plumbing and electrical works are now in, which means we can move on to plasterboarding and start bringing the internal spaces together.

🔹 Salisbury (Extension)
We’re getting ready for the first fix in the utility area. The electric meter change is booked in for next week, so once that’s done we can get cracking with the next stage.

🔹 Enford (Renovation)
The plastering is now all finished, ready for the next stage of the works.

🔹 Enford (Extension)
The footings have now been poured and the brickwork is up to DPC level. Plenty of progress on this one and it’s great to see the extension starting to come out of the ground.

📸 This week’s photo
A bit of good news to finish on our planning application has been granted! The boys were very happy to hear the news yesterday so there were definitely a few smiles around the team. A big thank you to Dale Roberts Design for all his help with the planning application. We really appreciate it.

Another busy week ticked off for the team. Have a lovely weekend!

Weekly Update from The Best Build Team

It’s been a good week for Clive and Nathan, with two really positive meetings with new potential clients and commercial partners. There’s nothing better than having a busy week on site while also seeing some exciting opportunities developing behind the scenes.

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week👇

🔹 Enford (Extension)
This week saw the first pour of concrete go in at our Enford extension.

🔹 Salisbury (Internal Refurbishment)
We’ve also started a brand new project in Salisbury city centre, carrying out an internal refurbishment.

🔹 Salisbury (Renovation)
Things are moving along nicely with the outside walls now insulated and ready for the first fix electrics and plumbing next week.

🔹 Salisbury (Extension)
We’re also working on getting the final window installed, which will be another big step forward for this project.

🔹 And finally, this week’s photo…
After seeing Stonehenge Plumbing And Heating’s recent post, we thought it was time to have a little dig through the old photo albums ourselves and we found this absolute gem from the 80s! Clive also claims he had a shell suit like this. We’re not sure whether to believe him😂

Have a brilliant weekend, everyone.

Weekly Update from The Best Build Team

This week’s photo is from Salisbury Races, where Nathan and the team from Great Durnford estate enjoyed some down time yesterday. It looks like they had a brilliant day out.

Here’s what we’ve been up to 👇

🔹 Salisbury (Extension)
We’ve started the first fix in the utility and have been getting the internal alterations underway. We’ve also made a start on the second fix in the kitchen, so this one is really starting to come together.

🔹 Shrewton ( Alterations)
We’ve got the brickwork finished on one of our Shrewton projects and are now waiting for the roof to go on. We’ve also started another project in Shrewton, carrying out some brickwork alterations and structural changes.

🔹 Enford (Renovation)
We’ve had the electrician in getting started on the electrical works and moving things forward internally.

🔹 Enford (Extension)
Good progress has been made with the footings on this one. It’s a little different to some of our other projects, with lots of pad stones and ground beams involved.

🔹 Salisbury (Renovation)
The floor is now down and the walls are in, so we’re ready to move on to the first fix.

🔹 Andover (Extension)
The plumbers have been in, while the electricians have been getting the internal works ready for the next stage, with plastering and decorating coming up.

And finally, Dan is off on a little break! He’s headed off camping and hiking in Dartmoor for a few days. Let’s hope the weather is kind to him and it’s not too wet and windy! 🌧️ Enjoy, Dan have a great time!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Selected Project | A Home Reimagined

We're sharing a closer look at one of our recently completed transformations in Enford, Wiltshire.

Our clients wanted to create a calmer, more sociable home, opening up a series of separate spaces and creating a much stronger connection with the garden beyond.

Significant structural alterations transformed the ground floor into generous kitchen, dining and living spaces, while upstairs the layout was reworked to create a new master bedroom, dressing room and ensuite.

Perhaps the best way to describe the finished result is through the words of our clients:

“We have renovated most houses or flats that we have lived in. Best Build are without doubt the best team we have ever worked with.”

See the full transformation on our website.

Weekly Update from The Best Build Team

It’s been a very productive week for the team, with plenty of progress being made across our projects!

Here’s what we’ve been up to 👇

🔹 Salisbury (Extension)
We’ve been starting the utility construction while also finishing off the external works.

🔹 Salisbury (Renovation)
At our newer Salisbury renovation project, the team have been preparing the subfloor ready for the construction of the internal stud walls.

🔹 Enford (Extension)
The demolition phase is coming to an end and we're getting ready to start digging the new footings next week.

🔹 Enford (Renovation)
We're back at one of our existing projects! It’s always great returning to a project and seeing how everything is coming together. This time, the team have been busy plasterboarding and getting everything prepared ready for plastering.

🔹 Enford Photoshoot
We also had a fantastic photoshoot this week at our Enford renovation project. What an incredible transformation! Thank you to Kit Fanner and our clients. We’re really looking forward to sharing this with you all, but for now, we’re keeping it behind closed doors! 🚪😉

A Lovely End to the Week
This afternoon, myself and the team met up at one of our completed projects in the Woodford Valley to enjoy seeing the finished project, with some delicious pizza from The Great Bustard🍕

Have a brilliant long weekend, everyone!
