Natural slate roofs require a gentle approach to cleaning. They don't attract as much moss as clay or concrete roof tiles but lichen seems to love them!
Just look at the difference between our clients roof and the lichen covered roof of the neighbours adjoining garage, and we hadn't even applied our softwash treatment yet!
