Partial rewire in Finstown. It’s not often you come across a more-or-less properly wired and rated radial socket circuit in a domestic property - they’re arguably better than ring mains. It’s also not often you come across VIR twin (organic rubber insulation) - still in mostly decent condition too except in the back boxes (where it matters most!). All sorted now, radial wired in 4mm2 PVC t&e (6mm2 for main branch from consumer unit)…

A quick basic garage rewire in progress this morning in South Ronaldsay. Conduit on the drops, nice wee BG metalclad unit to replace a grand old cast iron Memset fused switch, overtaken by time & rust.
