Finished a few Cheese Board's today, 1st picture ascending, Large 28cm by 48cm in English Walnut ,2nd A 30cm Board in reclaimed pallet wood, Heavy hardwood, 3rd Two smaller boards in English Oak with strips of Acacia, Beech, Ash & American Black walnut.

After over eleven weeks out of action, I finally finished four lamps, the first A standard Stave lamp, that went to a happy customer in Caithness, The second lamp Oak & Chrome, a large Lamp, Number three , English Yew & recycled coloured Glass from a 1960s Electric fire. and last but not least, a lamp base made from a garden shrub, Escalonia, which in Orkney grows to about fifteen feet & has light brown wood which is very dense with a fine grain,Double click individual pictures for full view.

1st off a re-design of my Stave Table lamp, I went for a less chunky lamp with 9mm instead of 20mm wide staves, giving it an overall more delicate look.
2nd an Oak Tea light holder, made from an offcut from a very large ,very old fence post strainer ,originally a ships timber , so very old.
3rd A mantle clock made from Oak, salvaged from old fishing vessel and intended for the log burner.

A very big thank you to a lady, one of my customers at the recent Hope Craft Fayre who delivered a very large & very old Ships timber to the shed where I do my craftwork, apparently it was used as a fence post and after a quick clean up appears to be Oak, Again , Thank you.
