You're invited to this beautiful Earth & Root day nature retreat at Bromham Mill, Bedfordshire, UK, celebrating our earth and the network of roots and fungi holding the soil together.

Join me at the beautiful 17 century Bromham Mill and gift yourself a day of gentle learning and self-reflection as we dive deep into the earth and roots that nourish us. Together we'll shift our perspective of the ground beneath our feet, as well as explore deep time and how roots are nourished by falling leaves. We will consider what we want to let go of and tend to during the autumn and winter season as we oppose the increasingly challenging demands on us in this socio-economic and environmental climate.

Throughout the day, we'll learn how going deep in the earth and in time can help us slow down, gain perspective and feel more grounded.

Awaken your curiosity and creativity
In this restful setting, we'll take time to:
learn to identify one local tree
explore why trees shed their leaves during autumn
learn about the vibrant networks and worlds beneath our feet
get creative with making your own take-home earth paint
understand how we can tread more softly on the earth
enjoy quiet, reflective time with the trees and earth in the meadow
nourish ourselves with a drink on arrival and a delicious lunch courtesy of The Mill Coffee Shop (included in the price)
make a herbal bath soak as a take-home ritual kit
Leave feeling nourished and fulfilled
You will leave the day feeling nourished and fulfilled in your connection with the earth and roots as well as yourself. You'll have gained a deeper understanding of the earth beneath your feet, the importance of shedding leaves and nourishing roots as well as taking care of the soil on which we tread. And it doesn't all have to lie on your shoulders to "fix" and "save" the planet. We are dealing with forces much bigger than 1 human.

If my relationship with nature has taught me anything it's that we are all connected for better or worse. And we are not alone in seeking change.

What was telling was the near radio silence on the group after I posted this. And I understand - climate change is such a big thing to sit with... And yet here we are in the messy place all together. Doing what we can, imprefectly.

Let us imagine and then create more loving worlds starting with ourselves, the land, our loved ones and our local communities. Let us see where it takes us, what will evolve and sprout from healing creation upon the destruction.
