UPVC STABLE DOOR REALIGNMENT AND ADJUSTMENT
This particular UPVC stable door features multiple components and independent mechanisms, making the realignment more complex therefore, requiring an experienced locksmith with the appropriate skills and knowledge.

To resolve the issue, I lubricated the locking mechanisms, adjusted the upper tilt and turn section, which operates on its own mechanism.

I also installed packing at the bottom of the door to help prevent it from dropping out of alignment again. As this door serves as a fire escape and remains closed for most of the time, the additional support helps reduce strain on the hinges and maintain the doors alignment.

RESTRICTORS DAMAGE PATIO DOORS
Avoid using doors opening restrictors - they can cause damage to your doors. Instead, I recommend using a suitable heavy object outside the door to safely hold it open when required. On this particular job, I had to remove the existing restrictors as they had caused damage to the door and frame.

BI-FOLD DOOR REPAIR & REALIGNMENT
This bi-fold door was well over due some attention. Over time, doors can drop, become misaligned and gradually get harder to operate.

Regular servicing and adjustments can help prevent bigger issues and keep your doors running smoothly. You should be able to open, close and slide them with just one or two fingers.

BI-FOLD DOORS IN URGENT NEED OF ATTENTION AFTER DROPPING IN JUST 2 YEARS!
This bi-fold door system was installed just two years ago, but had already developed several issues affecting its operation. There were noticeable gaps at the top of the doors, along with the seal being compressed at the bottom of the hinge roller, which may have been an issue dating back to the original installation.

CLIENTS DESPERATE NOT TO HAVE THE COST OF NEW DOORS. THIS IS HOW I IMPROVISED.
The old lock had no direct replacement available, and the latch wasn't pulling fully into the keep due to missing strike plates.

As the existing doors were still in good condition and the client's were desperate to keep them, I recommended a universal locking mechanism to get them working securely again without replacing the doors.

WINDOW REPAIR- FAULTY GEARBOX REPLACED AND FIXED!
At first glance, you'd think the window handle needed replacing. However, after testing and demonstrating the issue, it was actually the gearbox mechanism inside the window that had failed.

I replaced the faulty gearbox, got everything adjusted correctly, and the window is now fully operational and working as it should.

GIVING AN OLD DOOR NEW LIFE
A few repairs are required to this door, some of which appear to have resulted from work previously carried out by an inexperienced locksmith.

Works required include:
- Fitting a new spring mechanism for the handle.
- Repacking and securing the door panel correctly.
- Adjusting and repositioning the drop hinges where required.
