TICKET FOR SALE : Adventure Bike Rider Festival 24th-26th June. I went to this last year - fantastic event and am going again this year but have an extra ticket for sale. On ABR website they are £129 but you can have this one for £100. . . .or a sensible offer . . .or I'll take my dog instead :-)

Let's keep two-wheeled motorsport alive and help Butts Quarry out by signing a petition to keep their venue open. Whilst electric off-road will help with this kind of noise complaint issue, the manufacturers are far too slow at coming forward with credible electric off road motorcycles - so we have to accept that petrol (and a bit of noise) is here for some time yet. It only takes a couple of nimby moaners to shut a venue down - so lets show that there are 15,000 signatures out there that think otherwise.

Continue to allow Motor Sports at Butt's Quarry, Ashover.

A fond farewell to John Riley - a friend of E-SCAPE and of our family.

We were very saddened to hear of the passing of John Riley on Monday morning, after a battle with cancer. An incredible guy - a 'Para' in his earlier years, but had since developed a successful business in Plant Hire (Diggers not Roses!) and had also been developing his lifelong passion for farming. A very humble, hard-working man, who was tough as old boots but smart with it. He always had a good story to tell; usually delivered in his dry wit but with a ‘lesson for life’ message in there.

It’s important to recognise people who help you along the way, and John Riley was one of those people. When I first started building E-SCAPE, he offered to loan me a 13 tonne JCB for a ‘couple of weeks’. That two weeks ended up being two years ! . . . but he never complained, and never gave me a bill either. But that was ‘John’ - a solid, dependable ‘old skool’ bloke who will be sadly missed by our family. Rest In Peace John Riley - you’ve earned it.
