A client contacted us following a vehicle crashing into the gated area of a car park, leaving sections of the fencing damaged and the area unsafe.
The request was simple: get as many engineers to site as possible, make the area safe and prevent access.
With short notice, we pulled together a team of 5 engineers and got straight to work. 👷♂️👷♀️
On arrival, the vehicle had already been removed by the recovery company, so the first priority was to secure the area and prevent access using barrier tape.
Once the full team arrived, we got to work removing the damaged fencing. Undamaged panels were carefully removed and retained for reuse, while the damaged sections and supporting posts were dismantled safely. The bolted posts required multiple engineers for safe manual handling and removal.
With exposed electrical wiring also present, the lighting circuit was isolated and the affected wiring removed to eliminate any additional risk. A van-mounted access platform was also used to safely reach the areas at height.
Within the same visit, our team had cleared the damaged sections, isolated the electrical hazard and installed temporary fencing to fully secure the area.
The site is now safe and access is prevented, ready for the next stage of works and installation of the permanent replacement section by the shopfitters.
💪 5 engineers. One urgent call. One safe and secure site.
That’s reactive maintenance — when you need us, we mobilise.
