A blank canvas with this one.

My customers in Great Barr have just bought their first house and wanted to put their mark on it, as new homeowners, straight away.

What better room to start with??!!.

First up, cement boards were added to the shower area, giving moisture tolerance, structural rigidity for heavy tiles, and long-term durability.

New water feeds and waste pipes were added, before the floor was overboarded. Moisture resistant chip board was used underneath the bath.

Outside, the cast iron soil stack was removed and replaced, future proofing the property and allowing the new combi boiler to condense into it without fear of corrosion.

Infinita Cast Cambrian bath fitted, with porcelain Reval Perla large format tiles. Hansgrohe Rebris bath filler, CromaTop thermostatic shower and Merlyn 2 panel bath screen completing the look.

Deuco denim blue made to order furniture with cupboard above the toilet, under and next to basin offering plenty of storage space. This was finished with Deuco Athena marble worktop and short projection basin.

Infinita comfort height pan and pneumatic cistern. Finished with a chrome towel warmer and Elka rigidity vinyl floor tiling.

Premium quality in this bathroom. It looks fantastic and should last for years to come.

Electric is the way forward. Not in this case. My customers were complaining of poor performance from their electric shower, even though it was a top spec, Aqualisa one. So. I removed the old shower, and tiles that had holes where holes were no longer needed. I got under the bath, and put a hot and cold feed in the wall. I re tiled, re grouted, and fitted this dual head shower to run off their pressurised system. The screen was re fitted, and silicone replaced. Much better, for their new build in Branston, Burton upon Trent. Happy showering. Please, get in touch for an estimate.

Another freshen up in Armitage. This time, from black, to chrome. Flush button and valve replaced. New chrome taps and click waste on the basin.

New chrome shower valve, which required some tile alterations. The previous tiles had also been cracked during installation of the initial valve when over tightening the screws and not knocking the plugs past the face of the tile !!!. New chrome shower waste added.

Water conditioner fitted to protect the whole house against scale. This had contributed to the original black fittings having a limited lifespan, as we live in a hard water area. Hopefully, my customers will notice a difference in water quality from now on.

Back to black.

My great customers in Handsacre wanted their brasswear smartening up.

Bath taps and waste replaced. Concertina shower screen, which always cause issues, replaced with this great looking fluted one.

Basin tap and waste swapped out, along with the flush valve to allow for the matching black, VIVA Sanitary flush button and valve.

Well. This is a complete transformation. My customers wanted to add a shower to their bathroom, moving the bath and vanity unit, without having a full refurbishment. Challenge accepted.
The tiled floor came up. Pipes re located to allow the bath to be moved under the window.
Black towel rail added with square valves to match the square brasswear.
Over shower fed from bath taps, which saved having to disturb the wall tiles.

Victoria, Flint Grey gluedown LVT added.

Wall hung basin vanity unit and keyhole bath to give more room when showering. Matching black, handleless shower screen.

Next up for this beautiful, turn of the 1900s terraced house in Smethwick. The separate toilet, sited along the landing.
The customer wanted a wash hand basin added, and found a small, wall hung one. However, she didn't want the pipework to be visible, and, there was no hot water.
I took a hot feed from the main bathroom, running it across the landing. The pipework couldn't be hidden, so, it was all done in copper. Even the waste, with brass clips.
Metro tiles hiding a fully accessible concealed cistern, in keeping with the 1900s look.

This was a hard slog, as there was quite a bit of repair work, whilst trying not to disturb the existing tiles. I think you'll agree that it looks great.
