Another fantastic project underway!

We’ve been invited along to this impressive new-build property to carry out the battening and slate installation.

A great project to be involved with, and we’re looking forward to seeing it take shape as the work progresses.

Roofing Project Update 🏠🔨

Another roofing project well underway, and it’s certainly been a challenge working in these hot temperatures! ☀️🥵

We’ve completely stripped the old roof, removing all the old felt and rotten battens before getting everything prepared for the new system.

So far, we’ve installed:
🔨 New breather membrane
🔨 New treated battens
🔨 Under cloak
🔨 Verge clips

We’ve also cleaned every individual tile, as they were absolutely caked in moss!

It’s been a big job, but the transformation is already looking great.

Before, during and after our latest project ✅

This roof had reached the end of its life. Years of water ingress had led to damp, mould and ongoing problems inside the property, so it was time for a complete overhaul.

We stripped the existing slate roof back, installed a new breathable membrane, fresh battens and finished it with durable Cedral fibre cement slates to provide long-lasting protection.

The old felt flat roof was also removed, decking replaced, and a new EPDM rubber roofing system installed to create a watertight finish built to stand the test of time.

A roof isn’t just there to look good – it’s there to protect your home and everything inside it. Another property made dry, secure and ready for many years ahead.

🔨 Progress update from our hospice roofing project.

Work is well underway replacing seven roof valleys after they had deteriorated to the point of allowing water ingress into the building.

As you can see from the photos, the valleys were heavily blocked with leaves and debris, while the original mortar had become weak and broken down over time. This combination had caused the valleys to fail, allowing water to pe*****te the roof.

We are cleaning out every valley before rebedding and repointing them using a high-performance, long-lasting mortar mix, restoring their strength and ensuring they remain watertight for years to come.

Before and after of a recent project completed ✅

A leaking or deteriorating valley can quickly lead to serious water damage if left untreated. On this property, the original tiled valley had reached the end of its lifespan and required a complete replacement.

Once we carefully stripped everything back, we uncovered several hidden issues that wouldn’t have been visible from the outside.

✅🔍 Work completed:

🔨 ➤ Removed the original tiled valley system.
🧐 ➤ Discovered multiple sections of missing roofing felt.
💧 ➤ Found several holes in the existing felt allowing water ingress.
🪵 ➤ Identified rotten timber battens that required replacing.
🛠️ ➤ Installed a brand new high-quality fibreglass valley.
🏠 ➤ Fitted new treated roofing battens.
🛡️ ➤ Installed new breathable roofing felt for long-term protection.
🧱 ➤ Replaced damaged tiles with carefully matched tiles to blend seamlessly with the existing roof.
✅ ➤ Left the roof fully weatherproof and built to last.
