🔥 Is your boiler ready for winter?

The colder mornings are starting to creep in, and before we know it we'll all be reaching for the heating controls again.

If your boiler is due a service, now is a good time to get it booked in rather than waiting until you need it most.

And if you're putting off getting your boiler checked because you're worried you're going to be told it needs replacing, don't panic!

A service gives us the chance to check how your boiler is performing and talk you through your options if there are any issues.

And if a replacement does turn out to be the right option, finance options are available to help spread the cost, where appropriate.

Better to find out now than on the first freezing morning when the heating decides it doesn't fancy turning on! 🥶

One minute, Hugo is inspecting a perfectly prepared floor...

Then he decides to get in the way. 🧸👀

And when he finally moves...

Someone's been busy! 👀

The underfloor heating pipework is all in place, ready for the next stage of the build.
Whilst Hugo may make it look effortless, getting the pipework right takes careful planning and precision. The layout, spacing and positioning all play an important part in ensuring the system delivers even, efficient heat once it's covered over.

It's one of those stages where getting it right first time really matters — because once the floor is down, you don't get to see your work again!

We're not sure what Hugo was doing behind the scenes, but we're pretty sure he wasn't responsible for the installation! 😂

🔧 A little progress from one of our current projects...

We don't always get to share a project while it's still underway, but this one is coming along nicely, so we thought we'd give you a little look behind the scenes. 👀

We're currently supporting a local builder with the plumbing and heating work on this larger project, with quite a bit for our team to get stuck into!

Our work includes:
🔥 Replacing the boilers
🚿 Installing new bathrooms
🌡️ Installing underfloor heating
🔧 And all the plumbing work needed to bring everything together

There's still plenty to do before this project is complete, but it's already great to see everything starting to take shape.

Projects like this are a great example of the way we like to work with builders — being involved throughout the job, communicating with the wider team and making sure our work progresses alongside the rest of the build.

We'll be back with more photos as the project develops, but for now, here's a little snapshot of what's happening behind the scenes. 📸

🏡 Another new-build project, and we're really proud of this one! 🔧

There's something particularly satisfying about seeing a new home take shape, from the first piece of pipework through to the installation of the plumbing and heating throughout the property.

We've now reached a really exciting stage on this project. The main plumbing and heating installation is complete, although there are still a couple of finishing touches for our team to return and complete. The wider property also has other trades to come in and finish their work before it's ready for its new owners.

But even though there's still a little way to go, we couldn't resist showing it off! 👏

We've worked closely with the builder throughout the project, making sure our work has been coordinated with the wider build and completed to the high standard we'd expect in our own homes.

We particularly enjoy working with smaller local builders on individual plots and smaller developments. Being involved throughout the build means we can build a good working relationship, communicate properly and make sure our part of the project runs smoothly.

There's still a few finishing touches to come, but we're really proud of the job the team have done so far and can't wait to see the finished home once all the other trades have worked their magic too. 🏡

We often share the bigger projects our team works on, but not every job needs to be a full bathroom renovation or whole-house installation.

This cloakroom may not be the largest room in the house, but what a transformation! 👏

There's still some painting to be done to finish the room off, but you can already see what a difference the new installation has made.
