The Listed Property Transformation series #2 🏡
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲...
Following on from our recent post showcasing the renovation and extension of this listed property, here's a look at another major part of the project — the transformation of the outside space.
The difference from the original garden is remarkable.
The landscaping was designed to work with the newly renovated property, turning what had previously been a relatively simple garden into a series of attractive and usable outdoor spaces.
New terraces provide places for relaxing and entertaining, while the changes in level have been carefully incorporated through steps, planted areas and gabion retaining walls. Gravel pathways, extensive planting and defined lawn areas bring the different parts of the garden together.
The result is an outside space that feels considered from every angle and complements both the historic character of the original property and its contemporary extension.
It's also a great demonstration of the benefit of approaching a project as a whole — considering not only the building itself, but how the finished home sits within and connects to its surroundings.
