On Sunday we received this email… I have had to remove and edit some names obviously but the message itself is resounding.

Hi ,

Hope you’re well.

In the end, we decided to go with ******* for our new kitchen, and looking back, we really wish we’d gone with you.

We were so happy with everything you’d done for us. You understood what we wanted, and we loved your design.

Unfortunately, it just came down to price. Your quote was just over £30,000 including fitting, and the other company worked out around £3,000 cheaper.

What we hadn’t really appreciated was how much we’d have to organise ourselves. Finding fitters and electricians and getting everyone there at the right time was quite stressful. We’ve also had a few issues with missing items, and three months on we’re still waiting for a couple of things to be sorted by *******.

It’s not that the kitchen is terrible, it’s just not what we’d hoped for and we’ve had to make too many compromises we feel. The whole experience has made us realise the value of having everything taken care of by one company to be honest.

Looking back, that £3,000 saving really doesn’t seem worth it. And we’ve definitely ended up spending more than we saved as it stands!

We’ve actually recommended The Kitchens Inc to friends and told them how much we wish we’d stuck with you.

If money were no object, we’d honestly have you take this kitchen out and fit the one we originally chose!

Anyway, we just wanted to say how much we appreciated your time and effort. If we could do it all again, we’d definitely make a different decision.

We’re already booking well into 2027, but two installation spaces have unexpectedly become available before Christmas.

To secure either space, orders will need to be placed within the next two weeks, to allow us time to check measure, manufacture and arrange installation.

🇪🇸 Viva España! 🇪🇸

I’m in Southern Spain this week and something that really stands out to me is how much the interiors seem to have evolved.

When I think of Spanish interior design, I tend to picture terracotta, colourful tiles and quite a traditional Mediterranean look. But much of what I’m seeing feels far more refined than that.

There are still lots of warm tones, but mixed with natural timber, soft stone, neutral colours and much cleaner lines.

The Spanish homes now seem to make much more of the natural light. With large openings and materials that feel connected to the outside.

It still feels Spanish, just in a calmer and more modern way.
