Making room for a new classroom in Loughborough 🙌

Bob and Alex have been carrying out clearance work at one of the schools we regularly maintain, getting the area ready for its next chapter.

Alex was on the digger, supplied by JB Tool & Plant Hire LTD , with the ECHO Global chainsaw put to work on the clearance too. Always lovely to see a school we work with growing, and to play a part in making it happen.

🌳 Tree season is well and truly upon us!

A cracking before & after from one of our recent jobs — a good crown reduction has opened the tree up beautifully while retaining its natural shape and character.

With the nesting season coming to an end, our tree team is getting increasingly busy with autumn and winter works.

If you’ve got trees that need reducing, reshaping, removing or simply checking over, now’s a good time to get booked into the diary.

And that’s a wrap on APF 2026! 🌳🚜

A brilliant day at Ragley Hall celebrating the 50th anniversary of the APF Exhibition.

So many good conversations, familiar faces, new connections and, of course, some seriously impressive machinery to admire (and add to the ever-growing wish list! 👀).

Lovely to catch up with everyone we managed to see throughout the day. It’s always great to get out, see what’s happening across the industry and spend some time with people who share the same passion for what we do.

Until next time, APF! 🤩

🌳 Teamwork at height!

A great shot from a recent tree job, with the Roma team working alongside Morgan at Killian Estates to tackle works on this impressive mature tree.

With the tracked MEWP providing safe access into the canopy, the teams were able to work together to get the job completed safely and efficiently.

Always good working alongside other skilled teams — especially when the job calls for some serious kit! 👌🌳

🌳 What a difference a site clearance can make!

A proper before and after from a recent clearance project at a local school.

The area had become heavily overgrown and inaccessible, so the team cleared back the vegetation, removed unwanted growth and made the area safe and usable again.

The best bit? It’s not just about making the site look tidier. The clearance has opened up more space for the children to play, explore and adventure outdoors while making the area much easier for the school to safely manage going forward.

A huge transformation and a much better use of the space. 🌿

🌳 Stump treatment using EcoPlugs

This stump has been treated using EcoPlugs — a targeted method of preventing unwanted regrowth after a tree has been felled.

EcoPlugs are small plugs containing a measured dose of herbicide, inserted directly into holes drilled around the stump. Once fitted, the treatment works through the tree’s vascular system to kill the remaining root system and prevent new shoots or suckers developing.

They’re a great option because the treatment is contained within the stump, reducing the risk of spray drift and limiting exposure to surrounding grass, plants and nearby trees.

A precise, tidy and effective way to deal with stubborn stumps and unwanted regrowth. 🌱🌳

Not a bad office for the day👌🚜

Our new Valtra is finally out earning its keep, and we're already impressed. It's a big investment for us, but one that means we can work more efficiently, look after our team and continue delivering the standard our customers expect.

Here's to many years of hard work ahead!
