Finished this one off today, it’s just waiting for the flooring. This one turned out a little bit more of a bigger job than anticipated when we uncovered a whole bathroom untouched underneath the existing plasterboard, extra tiles, plaster artex the lot. There was no way we could safely hang the 1200mm tiles on the existing wall which meant additional stud work, demolition and tile backer boards. Thankfully the tiler was happy as the existing walls were very bent anyway. The niche was built and again the end wall was built with the tiles in mind as the wall was bent. The old chimney breast also concealed a steel girder which meant we had to swap the floor standing vanity for a wall hung one. New coving, skirting and plastering works were carried out as well as electrics done by KB electrical. Perfect finished plastering were called in last minute to make good some of the walls after the electrical work was done and after we straightened out the chimney breast walls. Tiling done by the customers brother. It’s taken a little longer than planned but sometimes things can’t be seen and arranging various trades last minute isn’t always easy as we all have our own diaries. Ended up well though. Customer just to sort cushion flooring.
