So this morning, our Brea Grace, who's EIGHT, wakes up and says:

“Dad, I've seen something I want to buy. Let's go to work. What have we got booked in?” 😂

I said, “I've got nowt booked in today, Cocker. I'm absolutely miles behind with stuff, and I've got enough on my plate without dragging you to work!”

“PLEASE, DAD! LET'S GO!”

Well, how do you say no to that? 🤣❤️

So, off we go! 🔑

I've got the keys to an empty house for a landlord who's been waiting for a mains change, so I thought, that'll do us!

Fast forward a couple of hours...

🧔‍♂️ DAD: Screwed underneath the stairs, contorted into positions I didn't know the human body was capable of, sweating my go n**s off, ripping boards off and doing all sorts of gymnastics trying to get the old board out.

👧 BREA: Upstairs, absolutely LOVING LIFE! Singing, whistling, dancing around like she's on the bloody X Factor! 🎤💃😂

And the best bit?

SHE'S STILL GETTING PAID! 💷🤣

She's already telling me how much she's having off me, too! Apparently, she's got a wage to earn and shopping to do. She's eight going on bloody 38! 😂😂

Meanwhile, I've finally got the old board off...🤦‍♂️🤣

Sat an absolute bobby dazzler wylex fully loaded spd rcbo full bag of mashings..

And there I am, looking like I've just wrestled a bear underneath the stairs, wondering what the bloody hell I'm doing with my life! 😂

But do you know what?

I'd rather have days like this than miss out on memories with my Girls!! ❤️

⚡️ NAPIT ANNUAL ASSESSMENT… PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS! ⚡️

Right, I'm going to be honest with you lot… 😂

Every bloody year, my NAPIT assessment comes around and I turn into an absolute nervous wreck. Sweating, stressing, thinking about every little thing, wondering what they're going to pick up on. You'd think I was going to court rather than having someone check my electrical work! 🤣🥵

Anyway, this year Martin turned up, we went through everything, and after about 3 HOURS, EVERY BOX WAS TICKED! ✅💪

Then came the site visit to look at a rewire I've recently started.

Floorboards up. Cable runs visible. Everything there for him to inspect. Nothing hidden, nowhere to hide, just the job exactly as it should be. ⚡️🔧

And then Martin drops this on me…

THE BEST INSTALLATION HE'S SEEN ALL YEAR WELLDONE ANTHONY! 🤯🔥

Now, I'm not going to lie, that felt bloody good!

We all like a pat on the back now and again, but when it comes from the person who's there specifically to assess your standards, your workmanship and your compliance, it means a hell of a lot.

This is exactly why I take so much pride in what I do. It's not about rushing jobs, cutting corners or making things look good just for a photograph. It's about doing things properly, following the regulations and making sure every customer gets work they can have confidence in.

Right… I’ll be honest.

I started filming about a quarter of the way through the job because apparently remembering to press record is beyond me. 😂🤦‍♂️

By the time I remembered, I’d already had a good chat with the customer, drank half a gallon of coffee and got stuck into the job. ☕😂

I think people are starting to think I’m a fu***ng magician. 😂
