Today we’re introducing Oliver, Director and Owner of FEC Renewables.

With a background as a qualified electrician and extensive experience within the renewables industry, Oliver brings a wealth of technical knowledge and hands-on experience to every project.

Since establishing FEC Renewables, Oliver has been passionate about building a business based on quality workmanship, trust and strong relationships with customers, partners and the wider team.

A key part of Oliver’s role is being involved throughout the customer journey — from the initial conversations and understanding customer requirements, through to supporting projects as they progress and ensuring customers receive the service and support they expect.

Behind the scenes, Oliver is also a huge support to the whole team. His approachable nature, willingness to help and commitment to supporting every member of staff make him a valued leader and a big part of what makes FEC Renewables the business it is today.

From the technical side of projects to leading the business forward, Oliver’s experience, dedication and passion continue to drive the company every day.

He’s our Director, but somehow still manages to get his hands stuck into just about everything! 😂

One minute he’s wiring a heat pump, next he’s pricing a solar project, buying property at auction, sorting solar systems, recruiting staff, and wondering whether Lightning McQueen needs car insurance or life insurance. 🚗😂

As a family-run business, our people are at the heart of what we do. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing more of the team members who help make our projects a success and sharing more about the people behind the name.

Continuing our Meet the Team series, we’d like to introduce Becky, our Quality and Compliance Professional for all renewables.

Becky plays a vital role in ensuring our projects meet the highest standards, supporting the team with quality processes, compliance requirements and making sure everything is delivered safely and efficiently.

Her attention to detail, knowledge and commitment to doing things the right way help us maintain the standards our customers and partners expect.

In a fast-moving industry like renewables, having the right people ensuring quality every step of the way is essential — and we’re proud to have Becky as part of our team.

Fun fact about Becky: Becky brings the same level of quality control to the roads as she does to her work — if someone’s not meeting the required standards, they’ll know about it. 😂

First up… Meet Georgia, our Operations and Project Manager.

From managing day-to-day operations to supporting project delivery and being a point of contact throughout the customer journey, Georgia helps bring together the different parts of the business and keeps things running smoothly.

With a passion for organisation, problem solving and building strong relationships, Georgia is dedicated to making sure our customers receive the support and service they expect.

Outside of work, Georgia is a proud new puppy mum to Albie — who has quickly become her world. Although there is some debate over what she loves more… Albie or a perfectly organised spreadsheet! 🐶📊

🌞 Rain doesn't always clean your solar panels as well as you might think.

Over time, it's normal for solar panels to collect dirt, dust, bird droppings, leaves and other debris.

While a bit of rain can wash away loose dirt, it often isn't enough to remove the stubborn build-up that can stop sunlight reaching the panels as effectively.

Keeping panels clean can help them continue generating electricity efficiently and also gives you the opportunity to spot any obvious signs of wear or damage.

It's one of those simple maintenance jobs that's easy to forget—but worth remembering.
