A big thank you to everyone who commented or showed an interest in our recent job position post.

We’ve had a fantastic response and really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to get in touch.

We have put together an application form which we will be sending out to everyone tomorrow. Apologies for the slight delay — we’ve had a much bigger response than expected and wanted to make sure we had everything in place before moving forward.

We’re looking for someone who is keen, reliable, hardworking and genuinely wants to learn. Previous roofing experience isn’t essential — we’re more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude.

🏠 Managed to squeeze this flat roof in on Friday!

And what a Weetabix roof this one was 😂😳

Once we started stripping it back, it was pretty clear why it had failed…

❌ No ventilation
❌ Incorrect roof build-up
❌ Bathroom directly underneath
❌ No extractor fan/ventilation from the bathroom

All that moisture has to go somewhere. With an incorrectly constructed flat roof and no ventilation, moisture can become trapped within the roof build-up, leading to condensation, saturated insulation and eventually rotting out the timber deck.

By the time we opened this one up, the deck had basically turned to Weetabix! 😂

This is exactly why the correct flat-roof build-up and condensation control are so important. It might look fine from the outside, but what’s happening underneath is what really matters.
