More than a cosmetic brick repair—this property had badly spalled brickwork, cracking and internal damp.

After investigating the affected areas, we opened up the lower section of the wall and cleared accumulated debris from the cavity, helping to remove a potential bridge for moisture.

We then:

• Cut out and replaced the badly damaged bricks
• Installed Helibar crack stitching to strengthen the cracked masonry
• Repaired and rebuilt the opened sections
• Repointed the affected brickwork to complete the repair

The aim was to address the defects contributing to the damp problem while strengthening the cracked areas and restoring the external brickwork sympathetically.

🧱 A new repair project for SW Brickwork

The lower section of this building is showing significant deterioration, including:

• Bricks that have spalled, cracked or completely lost their faces
• Open and failing mortar joints
• Previous repairs that are no longer protecting the brickwork
• Ongoing moisture exposure around the base of the wall

When brickwork remains damp, repeated wetting, drying and frost can gradually break down the brick faces and mortar.

The remedy will involve carefully removing the damaged bricks, installing suitable matching replacements and renewing the defective mortar joints. We’ll also assess the surrounding paving levels and drainage to help reduce future moisture exposure.

We’ll share the transformation once the repairs are complete.

From failing mortar to a fully restored, weather-protected home in Redlynch 🏡

This property was in serious need of attention — failing mortar, cracked brickwork, and exposed areas leaving the building vulnerable to moisture damage.

We carried out a full lime mortar restoration, carefully raking out all defective mortar and reinstating the brickwork using a breathable lime mix. This allows the building to naturally manage moisture while preserving its original character.

The works included:

• Over 300 damaged bricks carefully removed and replaced
• Cracks repaired and surrounding brickwork structurally strengthened
• Chimneys fully raked out, repaired and repointed
• All elevations treated with Stormdry masonry protection
• Complete replacement of the guttering system
• Full lime mortar repointing throughout

The result is a property that not only looks dramatically improved, but is now properly protected for the long term.

For this project in North Baddesley, we installed:

✅ Keyhaven Grey porcelain paving supplied by Forest Stone
✅ A raised patio with three porcelain feature steps
✅ Silver granite sett detailing around each pergola post
✅ Oak pergola (installed by Hayward Fencing)
✅ Outdoor power socket
✅ Warm festoon lighting for those summer evenings
✅ Lawn reinstatement and finishing touches

The combination of the large-format porcelain, natural oak and warm lighting has completely transformed this garden into a space the family can enjoy all year round.

From a plain new build garden ➡️ to a sleek modern outdoor space 🔥

We transformed this garden using Knightwood Grey porcelain in a mix of 900x600 & 1200x600 slabs, finished with Mapei grout for a clean premium look 👌
To complete the design, we added a charcoal border and finished it off with crisp white spar chippings for the perfect contrast 🤍🖤
