Its been a whole year since our friend and colleague Sam suffered a severe brain injury.

He's currently being cared for at a neuro rehab centre and the next step is to help get him back home to his family.

We are incredibly proud to be able to support .home with a whopping £11,172, smashing our £10,000 target!

Most of the team took on the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge last weekend. Racing to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours.

Charlie, Ben, Max, George, Alex, Justin and Dave, all made it with half an hour to spare!

Well done team! Amazing achievement and you've all done Sam proud.

Do I need to tell my neighbour I'm fitting a heat pump?

In short, usually no. Domestic heat pumps are installed under permitted development, meaning your don't need to apply for planning permission and you don't need to tell your neighbour.

The rules were expanded last year too, to make it easier to install more heat pumps under permitted development.

There are exceptions though. If your property is listed or in a conservation area you may need to check if planning permission is required.

And honestly? Your neighbour might not even know its there. Modern heat pumps are much quieter than people expect.

Despite the hot weather our team have still be out training for the 3 Peaks challenge next month.

It’s all in support of .home. Sam joined Cinergi as an apprentice and quickly became a hugely valued part of the team. We’re raising money to help fund adaptations that are needed to bring Sam home from a specialist hospital after a traumatic brain injury.

Congratulations to Adam, Charlie and Hannah!

They’ve recently completed their BPEC Ventilation qualification. It's a great achievement and a reflection of the technical expertise within the Cinergi team.

All this glorious sunshine often means you can be generating more solar energy that you can use, so what happens to it?

We set solar systems up with a hierarchy or rules that are built to suit how you personally use energy. First, solar energy goes directly to any electricity demand in your home in real time.

Then its usually most cost effective to charge your battery to save your energy for after dark.

Once your battery is full, you can sell your energy back to the grid.
