The joy of freshly cut Alstroemeria is back! We have a few Alstroemeria plants in the back garden but we still would like more! The flowers last for weeks, even after being cut and they look lovely in any vase 🥰

Cornflowers are such a vibrant blue and they look stunning next to most flowers but I particularly like them next to our deep red salvia. So easy to grow and they keep flowering from June until September 🥰

Hello everybody! I know that it has been quite a while since we've said hello! We enjoyed the spring gardens so much, we forgot to take any photos of it 🤦‍♀️ BUT one thing that I did want to share with you, is our homegrown fruit! Two years ago we bought some raspberry canes and lots of strawberry plants. The strawberry plants have always been fruitful (excuse the pun!) But the first year of raspberries they were a bit more leafy than fruity. This year though, the raspberries have been never ending! So if you're feeling the pinch buying supermarket raspberries and strawberries, buy your own raspberry canes (£2.50 last time we bought some) and some strawberry plants and you will have fruit right through the summer.

Happy gardening 🍓

The buds are starting to come out on our raspberry canes!

Well we've had a mild winter and the gardens are starting to look full of spring promise! Our spring bulb tub is looking amazing and we cannot wait for the crocus, iris and tulips to fully bloom in it 🌷

Our waltzing matilda dahlia looked beautiful this year and grew to 6ft tall! Sadly the wind and rain have pushed it over and so this weekend, we lifted it from the ground and put it into storage to overwinter but it will come back next year, to show off again 🥰

So we're getting the front garden ready for winter. All the dead heading and planting of spring bulbs will be completed today and then it will be mulched over, during the week.

We love Dahlias in the garden because there are so many varieties and colours to choose from, to suit your borders or pots and they flower until the first frosts. We currently have 8 different Dahlias but I'm sure there will be more 🥰
