Be careful who you chose to carry out electrical work. I have been to a local property today to carry out an electrical installation condition report. The consumer unit in this property was changed by a local electrician within the last 4 to 5 years who advertises as a NICEIC approved electrician. I bet he wouldn't take a NICEIC inspector to this job. The list of remedial actions required to rectify the issues is staggering. Even took the client many phone calls to get the certification for it. I wonder why. Shame she couldn't find the them.
