Hubble bubble... My cauldron is out and it's brewing a batch of Hedgerow Cordial for refreshments at our Witch Bells workshop tomorrow...
I'm hoping there will be enough for the honesty stall as well! ๐Ÿ’š

The honesty stall has been dusted off this morning!
A big blackberry harvest got me into making mode and the stall has been stocked up with jars of homemade jam...
Blackberry & Apple.
The homemade paper I use for the labels needed some decoration, so of course it's been painted with blackberries!
I'd recommend the jam with some blackberry scones, I made a batch for our afternoon tea yesterday and gosh it was all scrumptious!

We have a wonderful thicket of brambles in our garden, I love it and our local wildlife loves it, it feeds, shelters and protects us all here! I'm lucky to have the space to allow it to do it's thing rather than having to chop it back... Today I'm harvesting it's beautiful blackberries to make some jam (on the stall soon), and next week we'll be harvesting some of it's long stems to make wreaths in our Witch Bells Workshop... Yellow Cottage Makers
Thankyou beautiful Brambles ๐Ÿ’š

Update- Only two spaces left!!
After-school Nature Crafts club for Rockbeare Primary students...
It'll be on Tuesdays, 3:30-5:30, I can pick them all up from school and bring them here to the Cabbage.
Open to years 5-6 and there's a maximum of 5 children (minimum of 3).
It won't be quite as wild and muddy as Eco Club was! It'll be more focused on the crafting and hopefully learning a bit about the natural world as they go... So a calm crafty club that will be focused on the seasonal changes of the year.
It will cost ยฃ5 per hour, and we'll start on Tuesday the 22nd September.
Our club is fully insured and I hold an enhanced DBS check ensuring a safe and secure place for your child.
Please message me to book a space or ask any questions ๐Ÿ’š

Calling all Practical Magic/practical magic fans! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Practical Magic has been one of my all-time favourite cosy films since it came out in the late 90's, I watch it every single autumn (and re-read parts of the books whose pages are marked with old leaves and feathers)... and I know I'm not the only one who's reeeeally excited to see the new film coming out on the 11th September!

To celebrate, I'm hosting a magical Witch Bells making workshop...
During this two-hour workshop, youโ€™ll create a completely unique door wreath. I'll teach you how to strip bramble stems (for protection) to weave the wreath base and you can decorate it with all kinds of beautiful, meaningful treasures.
Weโ€™ll talk about the folklore and symbolism surrounding bells and doorways and the meaning of the treasures you select to decorate your creation.
No two will look or sound the same, and there is no design you need to copy. Youโ€™ll be encouraged to follow your own creativity and choose the materials that feel most meaningful to you.

Your workshop includes:
All materials needed to create one witch bells wreath...
A choice of bells, ribbons, strings, charms, keys, decorative pieces, herbs, crystals and natural elements
Refreshments (no Midnight Margueritas, but a delish alternative!)

If you have any pieces at home that mean something to you that you'd like to include in your wreath, do feel free to bring them along (for example, the one I made recently has ribbon from a dear friend, a button from my Grandad's cardigan and an old key we found in our cottage).

This workshop is open to complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike. People of all beliefs are warmly welcome and encouraged to engage with the traditions and practices in whatever way feels meaningful to them.

Please contact me here on messenger to book your space and I'll send a payment link, seats are limited to a small group...
See you soon ๐Ÿ’š

Ooh I do love a late summer lunch fresh from the garden!
And look at my bonkers tomatoes! The heat has made some of my plants do very strange things this year!
I promise to get the stall stocked up again soon... ๐Ÿ’š
