Planning approved? Great news, but it is not the end of the process.

The next stage is usually the preparation of Building Regulations drawings, which provide the technical information needed to help your builder price and construct the project correctly.

This can include details covering:

✔️ Foundations and structure
✔️ Wall, floor and roof construction
✔️ Insulation and ventilation
✔️ Drainage
✔️ Fire safety
✔️ Key construction details

Depending on the project, you may also need structural calculations, Building Control approval, Party Wall advice and specialist reports.

This existing agricultural barn at Andrews Farm in Althorne has been reimagined as a characterful single storey rural home.

The proposed design retains the simple barn form while introducing new weatherboarding, a brick plinth, large areas of glazing and roof mounted solar panels.
