Another job completed by Kev’s Plumbing.

We fitted a new Quooker tap, giving the customer hot, cold and boiling water all from one tap.

The job included:
• Drilling the new sink to accommodate the tap
• Fitting and connecting the Quooker system
• Completing the waste pipework
• Fitting the sink aerator
• Checking all connections and making sure everything was working correctly

🔧 Soil Stack & Toilet Relocation

Changed the soil stack today
customer also wanted to move the toilet to the opposite side of the bathroom.

We altered the pipework and repositioned the soil connection to suit the new toilet location, making sure everything was correctly aligned and ready for the next stage of the bathroom work.

Bathroom Upgrade 🚿

The customer could no longer safely get in and out of the bath, so we removed the existing bath and replaced it with a modern quadrant shower enclosure and thermostatic shower.

We also:

* Fitted new waterproof wall boards
* Installed a new vanity unit
* Adapted the plumbing to suit the new layout

A much more practical, safer and easier-to-use bathroom for the customer. Another job completed and another happy customer! 👍

Complete Bathroom Transformation 🚿

This bathroom was completely stripped out after the customer discovered leaks, which had caused the floor to rot.

We carried out all the necessary preparation work, including:
✔️ Removing the old bathroom
✔️ Repairing and strengthening the walls and floor
✔️ Moving the pipework
✔️ Installing the new shower tray ready for the next stage

Our contractor Ian for completed the tiling. Once that was finished, we returned to install:
✅ Shower
✅ Toilet
✅ Basin
✅ Wall unit
✅ Radiator

The result is a fresh, modern bathroom that the customer is delighted with it.

Today’s call-out was an interesting one.

The customer had recently been inspected by South East Water and had been advised that an air gap tundish needed to be fitted to the water heater pipework as an additional safety measure.

What made it more interesting was that all of the pipework was the original installation from when the building was rebuilt, so it had never been updated to meet the latest requirements.

The new air gap tundish has now been installed, bringing the system up to the required standard and giving the customer added peace of mind.

Run new pipework to install a radiator.

The pipework was taken from the boiler in the utility room, then run neatly along the bottom and through the wall ready for the new radiator installation. Isolation valves were also installed, along with a false wall to neatly hide the pipework.

The radiator fitted was an aluminium radiator, making it lightweight and ideal for installation onto a plasterboard wall.

Kevs Plumbing working on my own house today 🔧

Changing all the pipework as I’m moving the utility room around and removing the underfloor heating. Lots of work ahead but it will be worth it in the end.

New cupboards going in for extra storage and the washing machine and tumble dryer have been ordered ✔️

Now it’s time to decide on the flooring… tiles or resin floor? 🤔

So many choices to make when changing things around in a house, but it’s all part of making it work better for everyday life.

But anything is possible 🤗
