The world needs more people who see wildlife as neighbours, not nuisances. 🦔
Every species contributes something to the ecosystem we depend on. The hedgehog regulates garden insects and invertebrates. The roe deer disperses seeds that help woodland regenerate. The fox maintains the balance of small mammal populations. The badger aerates soil and redistributes nutrients across its territory.
When we treat wildlife as a problem to be solved, we forget that it is part of the solution. These animals are not invading our space — we built our homes in theirs.
The sounds at night, the footprints in the soil, the shape glimpsed at first light — these are signs of an ecosystem functioning as it should, not a neighbourhood failing. 🌿
