Performed some gymnastics on this one between the beams 🤸

The regular prep with the dustless system and plenty of Toupret UK TX110 & wood filler. The liquid ingredients were Johnstone's Trade Paints acrylic durable matt in Au Lait on the walls, Teknos teknoceiling 02, Caparol haftprimer & Johnstone’s aqua guard satin in Au Lait and Blue Maize 🎨

A fun little side quest finishing this bespoke bar in a room featured a few times on this page 🍻

The customer primed it, so I could go straight to work with the Toupret UK wood filler, before the top coats of Farrow & Ball dead flat (the colour escapes my memory). The top was finished with 3 coats of Polyvine Ltd matt varnish for extra protection 🎨

1/2 It took approximately 5 minutes to realise this wasn’t going to be a simple freshen up of these window sills🫣

An abundance or rot removal left some rather large voids. Thankfully the customer had some replacement timber for the very worst areas - the remainder allowed me to put Oxera Repair Products rebuild resin to the test 💪

Toupret UK wood hardener & wood filler, Caparol haftprimer, followed by 2x Sandtex Trade Paint X-tra eggshell were the other ingredients 🎨

Making the world a prettier place for Postman Pat ✨

The normal prep routine with some Toupret UK wood hardener & filler, Oxera Repair Products rebuild resin & glazing sealant, followed by Caparol haftprimer and Johnstone's Trade Paints water based satin 🎨

Annoyingly I couldn’t get a lot of the existing paint off the glazing without risking damage, so just had to straighten things out ☀️

Another few weeks stripping, still no dollar bills 💵

This really was an exercise in patience and process. Strip, sand, fill, sand, seal, paint x3 🧘‍♂️

Oxera Repair Products rebuild resin & glazing sealant, Toupret UK wood filler, Caparol haftprimer and Johnstone's Trade Paints oil based eggshell were the ingredients 🎨

We’re up to August ‘25, when sunshine was a reliable friend ☀️

I could have happily spent several more days prepping these doors, but that wasn’t the specification this time, so just needed to make them weather proof and add some straight lines where I could. Toupret UK wood filler and glazing putty, along with Oxera Repair Products glazing sealant helped to achieve this 💪

Brouns & Co linseed oil paint was a new one for me to use, especially having to mix up a few ingredients for the primer coat. The paint was lovely to use, although I did have to be super vigilant spotting runs 🎨
