One of the things we're genuinely proud of at Eazy Garden is how we approach our work. 🐝

All of our equipment is battery-powered — no petrol engines, no fumes, significantly quieter on site. We compost all garden waste rather than sending it to landfill. And when it comes to pest control, we use natural methods wherever possible — soap spray for aphids, crushed eggshells for slugs.

It means our clients get a team that takes their garden seriously, but also takes the wider environment seriously too.

As autumn rainfall picks up, waterlogging becomes one of the most common garden problems we see across Dorset and Hampshire. 💧

Poorly draining lawns sit wet for days, compaction gets worse, moss takes hold, and bare patches appear come spring. It's not just about the look — standing water on paths and hard surfaces creates real safety issues too, particularly on commercial and communal grounds.

A few things make a real difference: hollow-tine aeration to break up compacted soil, topdressing with sharp sand, and addressing any obvious surface drainage issues before the worst of the winter rain arrives.

🌞 Keeping your lawn looking its best through the summer heat

Hot, dry spells can be tough on lawns — but with a few simple adjustments, you can help yours stay healthy right through to autumn.

🌿 Raise your mower blades — cutting too short stresses grass and makes it more drought-prone. Aim for around 4–5cm.
💧 Water deeply but less often — early morning is best to reduce evaporation and minimise the risk of lawn disease.
🍂 Leave short clippings on the lawn — they break down quickly and help retain moisture in the soil.
🚫 Hold off on fertiliser until the weather cools — summer applications can scorch already-stressed grass.
