I went back to sign off an extension with building control today. The client has finished off the building inside and out and it looks amazing. Located just outside Fordingbridge this was a really rewarding project having seen it through design, planning and then bringing it to life.

Roof coming along nicely on our Verwood development. Of course we finally get some rain when we are trying to get the project in the dry!!

Former window on the rear of the house and the flat roof coming along nicely. Hopefully we will have a complete roof structure in the next week or so.

Well the crane got to us today early morning and after some excellent driving skills by Nathan we just about got him in to position. Once he got everything ready it was a simple job lifting the 340kg beams over the bungalow. We now have a run of a few weeks in Verwood so hope to make some real progress. Watch this space!

Oak frame going up in Verwood today but that’s as far a a we got as the crane wasn’t able to get to us due to another job over running. 🤞for a 7.00 start tomorrow morning should have the beams in place by 9.00 if we are lucky.

Our oak delivery was nice and early this morning. Managed to shift all the beams to the back of the house ready for starting the frame on Monday. The big beams are staying at the front as they are 300kg+ each. I’m off to book a crane to lift them over the house next week!!

The oak frame extension with king post truss and purlins. Nice feature with the underside of the roof finished in oak tongue and groove boards. We were particularly pleased with the way this one turned out. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to try out the gorgeous pool whilst on site despite souring temperatures!

Last week we were in Fordingbridge assembling this small extension which has now had the roof tiles installed. Glass due next week then we will move inside to knock through to the house, insulate and plaster board ready for plastering.
