EvadX Team Raises £4,930 for St Kentigern Hospice After Completing the Three Peaks Challenge

Earlier this week, Rob, Sean, and Steve visited St Kentigern Hospice to present a cheque for £4,930 to Alwyn Mason, Corporate Fundraiser. During their visit, they were given a tour of the facilities and met members of the dedicated team who provide exceptional care and support to patients and families every day.

Reflecting on the experience, Rob said:

“Taking on the Three Peaks Challenge was a huge test of endurance, but knowing it would support the incredible work carried out at St Kentigern Hospice kept us motivated. The care and compassion shown by everyone at the hospice is truly inspiring, and we’re proud, on behalf of everyone at EvadX, to contribute to such a valued community organisation. We’re also extremely grateful to all those who donated and helped us raise £4,930.”

In September, the team completed the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Yr Wyddfa in under 24 hours. Their determination and teamwork turned a demanding endurance event into a meaningful fundraising effort in support of EvadX’s chosen charity partner.

Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, clients, suppliers, friends, and family, they raised an impressive £4,930, just shy of their £5,000 target. Every donation helps St Kentigern Hospice continue its vital work, providing comfort, compassion, and dignity to those who need it most. 💙

We were delighted to welcome Darren Millar MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservative Party, and Gareth Davies MS to EvadX on Friday.

Simon, Beth, and Rob provided a tour of our facilities, showcasing the skill, innovation, and dedication that drive our operations every day. The visit highlighted how the manufacturing and construction sectors play a vital role in driving economic growth, creating skilled employment, and strengthening the Welsh economy.

Conversations focused on workforce development, energy costs, innovation, and the impact of red tape and regulatory burdens on productivity. There was a shared understanding of the need for a long-term industrial strategy that enables Welsh manufacturers to grow, modernise, and thrive in a competitive landscape.

We also discussed the importance of continued collaboration between business and government to create the right conditions for sustainable growth. Investment, forward-looking policy, and innovation will be key to ensuring the sector remains strong and resilient.

At EvadX, we are proud not only of what we produce, but how we operate. We have successfully maintained a 4-day working week for several years, promoting better work–life balance, improving productivity, and supporting the wellbeing of our people. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and investing in their welfare is essential to our ongoing success.

Constructive engagement between industry leaders and policymakers is vital to ensuring that the voice of manufacturing is heard, and that both devolved and central governments work together to secure a sustainable, innovative future for the sector. We thank Darren Millar MS and Gareth Davies MS for taking the time to visit and engage with us on these important issues.
