I Have a 2 day slot available end of this week for any carpentry work needed. Thursday and Friday. Preferably indoor work, as its ment to be pi***ng down, flooring, doors, (if theres space to cut and trim doors inside) that type of thing, something that doesnt involve setting up outside, or if its outside work like fencing, or gates that type of thing. Absolutely stunning scenery! 🌄

So the previous decking was very badly damaged due to water gathering in-between the joistwork and over the years all the timber got very bad and all rotted, and the decking was then very unsafe.

So we ripped the whole thing up, and relayed the joists a different way, to allow for heavy downpours to flow into the guttering without the chance of any blockages. Due to this decking being on a fibre glass flat roof, we had to make the whole decking solid enough to only be able to fix into the back wall of the house, so the weight of that glass didn't blow off or rip the whole thing off the roof!
We then fitted new decking on top of it and refixed all the glass panels and posts back into place!

Very much enjoyed doing this job. This was actually done last summer. But totally forgot about the pics I had of this! Hopefully be able to do more decking jobs this summer, if we ever get some sunshine! 🌞

The loft is not my most favourite room in a house if I'm honest, wouldnt like to say how mamy miles we done up and down 2 fkights of stairs, but I'm so glad these are finally completed, and they do look absolutely stunning

So I got asked to come in and build the dwarf walls either side once the loft was all converted, the one side being for storage, and the other, a hanging rail for tshirts and shorter items of clothing!
Actually it's a 4 metre long clothes rail in total, so plenty of room there!

A lot of behind the scenes work goes into this, from ripping down the mdf door linings, and door stops, and I evan made the pencil round architrave out of mdf too! People just see doors, but from a finish carpenters eyes, we see all the minor details involved! 🔨 🤌

Any bespoke mdf projects you have in mind, then please do get in touch! 🏡 🔨 just not up a loft though please! 🤣

Also I'm noticing, I'm starting to add a lot of dewalt tools to my collection lately along with all of my makita tools! And also found out that these dewalt levels are the best levels iv ever owned! Theyre great! 👌 🏡 🔨

being a carpenter, you need space, for your work station, so being in a garden like this to cut in is acually a blessing, and the sun is absolutely beaming too! 🌞 today's going to be a good day! 👍

🔨🔨🔨 a nice little understair storage project for a lovely couple in stanleytown this week, they didn't want the full works, because they have a deep freezer under the stairs also, we had to make the most out of the small area that we had, they told me what type of stuff they needed out of the way, so i designed a nice deep shelf space to get all the big cluttery stuff out of the way, and then a smaller shoe storage pull out draw! For such small things, these are the up therr with the most trickiest of things to do, also the rain has practically made me cry this week, all worth it at the end tho . 🌧 All ready for a lick of pa@ now! 👌 🏡 🔨 @

Loft pull down ladder 🪜 fitted the other day, and wow, these are not for the faint hearted. 😡
This particular one was a right pain in the arse to fit, cables in the way, pipes in the way, ceiling light in the way, joist hangers, you name it, it was in the way, these are definitely not a case of just, cutting out a rectangular hole in the ceiling and screwing it up in place, up and down more times than my bipolar 🤣🤣 so for anyone wanting a pull down loft ladder, do not message me!! Haha. Naaa it was all good fun really. 🏡 🔨

Making beds from scratch is up there with my top favourite jobs to do, all built out of mdf, with 2 doors for all the storage spave underneath, and the mattress base easily lifted up with a little finger pull hole to get access easily underneath, made to fit a single ilea mattress!

I always get clients say to me " oh jame weve tried everything and everywhere, we just can't get any beds to fit in there at all"
And it's because of the angled stair bulkhead sticking out of the floor and wall" so it makes the job that bit more special then, when it's all custom made and bespoke!

Many houses have these in the box bedrooms, and theres so many different ideas you can have made there to make these rooms a lot more suitable for your needs and to gain a lot more space too! 🏡 🔨
