Been a bit quiet on here recently…

A busy summer on the tools, a holiday, the little apprentice starting a new school and a house move thrown into the mix.

With the diary for bespoke builds now taking us well into 2027 (a big thank you for keeping us so busy!), we deliberately chose a new build so there’d be nothing to do.

Anyway… here’s me measuring up piece number 6 for our own house.

Apparently this is when I thrive.

I’ve only had one apprentice who’s confident enough to say things like this… and unfortunately, he lives with me. ...

If it involves thinking outside the box, sign me up.

For this alcove unit, we skipped the traditional TV bracket because our client had one in the past and never really liked it. It gave us the perfect opportunity to try something different.

Instead, we designed a concealed pull-out shelf with a swivel mechanism. The TV can be angled for the perfect viewing position, then slides neatly back into the furniture to keep everything looking clean, uncluttered and seamlessly integrated.

What do you think… did we make the right call?

If you’re into carpentry and behind-the-scenes builds, hit follow.
