HYSTAR GOES TO HYDE FEST 💍🍻

A slightly different Hystar post this week…!

One of the Hystar directors’ identical twin brother Andy got married this weekend although after a few drinks, even we weren’t entirely sure which one was the groom! 😂🤦‍♂️

And this was no ordinary wedding. Welcome to HYDE FEST! a full on festival wedding with sunshine, music, smoke flares, plenty of food, a well stocked bar and one hell of a party. 🍻🥂

It was a brilliant day bringing together family, friends and some familiar faces from the Hystar family, with everyone swapping construction sites and property development for a day of celebrating, dancing and making memories.

The weather delivered, the drinks flowed, the dance floor certainly got some use and, judging by a few sore heads the following morning, it’s safe to say Hyde Fest was a success! 😂🍻

A fantastic day from start to finish and one that will be talked about for a long time to come.

Huge congratulations to the happy couple, Mr & Mrs Hyde! ❤️🥂

At Hystar Group, we are proud to continue our support this season for South Park Reigate Football Club as their main sponsor.

As part of our continued support, we are proud to have provided the club with a brand new state of the art scoreboard, along with a number of other contributions including team shirts to help support the club both on and off the pitch.

For us, it’s about more than having the Hystar name around the ground. It’s about backing the players, supporters and volunteers who make clubs like South Park Reigate such an important part of the local community.

And now it’s time for the football! ⚽️

The first home game of the season kicks off this Saturday at 3pm.

Holy Trinity Church Community Centre Progress Update

Another fantastic few weeks of progress on site at Holy Trinity Church.

The building is now really starting to take shape as the ground floor blockwork and facing brickwork continue to rise, bringing the new community centre to life.

To keep our team safe while working at height, we have installed scaffold crash decks throughout the building. These provide a safe working platform for constructing all of the internal walls and ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained as the project progresses.

You’ll also notice the brick work beginning to wrap around the external blockwork, together with the installation of the insulation and wall ties that will create a highly insulated, energy efficient building.

The structural steel gable frames are now in place, giving a clear indication of the impressive scale for part of the roofline of the finished building.

Every week sees another major milestone achieved, and it’s great to watch this exciting project come together for the local community.

‘Breathing new life into a much loved chapel’

At Hystar, we believe that preserving heritage doesn’t mean compromising on comfort or performance.

This beautiful local chapel had served its community for many years, but persistent damp problems, poor insulation and tired finishes meant it was ready for a complete refurbishment.

Working alongside specialist contractors, we first tackled the root cause by installing a specialist injected damp proof course before fitting an 8mm cavity drainage membrane system throughout the internal walls. This allows the walls to breathe while permanently managing moisture.

From there, we completely transformed the interior by:

•Installing timber battens and high performance insulation.
•Dry lining throughout to dramatically improve thermal efficiency.
•Manufacturing and fitting bespoke solid oak wall panelling.
•Installing matching solid oak skirtings, architraves and bespoke joinery.
•Handcrafting a new bespoke solid oak pulpit.
•Installing modern air conditioning to provide year round comfort.
•Upgrading the audio system for clearer sound throughout the chapel.
•Carefully preserving the original character and features wherever possible.

Although the existing timber floor remains, future sanding and restoration will complete the transformation when funding allows.

Projects like this demonstrate how traditional buildings can be sympathetically modernised while respecting their history and ensuring they continue to serve their communities for many years to come.
