On Monday it was a pleasure to be invited by the Reepham & District Rotary Club to their monthly meeting at the Kings Arms.

It was so lovely to attend and give a small presentation about my fundraising.

A huge thank you to everyone for being so welcoming and for your incredibly generous donation of £250 to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The certificate is something I will treasure 💜

I have had some amazing donations over the last few days. So thought I’d share some with you each day.

It was a pleasure to meet Noelle & Mark last week who brought me a HUGE selection of plants! And not only that, provided some amazing advice for my cuttings summer holiday challenge I have set myself.

There are some stunning Salvias & Penstemons in here which will be available on the stall soon. 😍

A couple of them I am keeping hold of for now, to try and take more cuttings, so hopefully will have even more to offer you next year!

We have been donated some pond plants which I have just popped in buckets near the stall.

They are Veronica beccabunga, commonly known as brooklime. A low-growing, creeping perennial with glossy green leaves forming dense mats along pond edges, streams, and damp soils. In late spring to summer it produces small, vivid blue flowers in clusters above the foliage, adding delicate colour and interest to wet gardens.

£5 a tub.

Fairly waterlogged, so make sure you put something waterproof down in the boot

What a lovely donation! Thank you so much ☺️

If you have plants which you are struggling to manage in this prolonged heat, we love to receive donations, and will nurse them back to health.

And don’t forget, 100% of the money we receive goes to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

And if anyone sees supermarkets selling plants for a few pence, please let me know. I hate to see them going to waste 😭

Hi everyone. Claire here (Lucy’s mum).

I saw this post on my own feed and thought it was an important thing to highlight.

If you want to know where you money goes when you buy plants from Lucy, it’s things like this.

Your generous support will help thousands of patients each year, all thanks to the research funded by the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

You really are making a difference! 💜

BREAKING NEWS: Thanks to research led by The Royal Marsden, eligible prostate cancer patients could now receive radiotherapy treatment in just five sessions, instead of the usual 20.

That's a 75% reduction in treatment time, with the same effectiveness.

But that's not all...

This isn't just being offered at The Royal Marsden. The NHS expects to offer this practice-changing treatment across all 48 radiotherapy providers across England.

And the impact? The new treatment could be offered to around 17,500 patients with low- or intermediate-risk cancer and could free up around 50,000 appointments for prostate cancer treatments each year.

This research is just one of the ways we're ensuring The Royal Marsden can continue to develop new, better treatments for people with cancer across the UK and around the world. And we couldn't do it without your help.

A lovely little ladybird on my Nemesis plant this morning 😍

I’m hoping to grow some Nemesis varieties next year, so keep an eye on my stall next summer ☺️. I just need to find some seeds! (Let me know if you spot any in local garden centres so I can go and buy some)

And don’t forget, if you have roses, ladybirds are a handy and natural way to help keep aphids at bay 🌹
