The aftermath of a wildfire. Cornish hedgerows singed, wildlife vanished bar some hopeful birds of prey, smouldering piles of ash and that distinctive acrid smell. Thank you to every firefighter that has worked across this site and continues to do so.

On Wednesday afternoon we attended a large wildfire in the Chapel Carn Brea area.

Since then, we have worked alongside firefighters from a number of different stations to extinguish the fire; with vital support from our Fire Control and Workshops teams.

We would like to this opportunity to thank everyone that’s supported us with this incidence, including local farmers, land owners, and members of the public who have kindly donated refreshments.
