HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER (C+E) FOR BULK AGGREGATE TIPPER WORK
We are looking for an experienced bulk tipper driver to join our busy team based in Astwood Bank
This is a full-time permanent position (subject to successful completion of a probationary period)
working Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturday mornings (subject to tachograph regulations).
Responsibilities Include:
· Daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects
· General cleanliness of allocated vehicle
· Collecting from Quarries and delivering direct to Customers or the yard.
· Driving an 8-wheel tipper when work requires it
· Attending site inductions and training as required
· Ensuring that health and safety is at the forefront of everything you do resulting in safe driving and minimal/zero damage to vehicles
· Compliance to company policies and procedures
· Communicating progress, delays, and key information
The Essentials
Here’s what we need from you in order to join the team:
· A minimum of 12 months experience driving HGVs (due to the complexity of some of the collections/deliveries)
· A valid C+E UK driving licence
· A valid UK Driver CPC
· A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
· You must have held a valid UK HGV Class 1 licence for over 12 months,
· Have no more than 6 penalty points and have no CD, DD, TT, IN or DR codes
· Demonstratable recent driving experience (happy to discuss at interview)
· A strong knowledge and awareness of driver hours regulations
What’s on Offer?
· Competitive hourly rate (plus daily performance bonus paid weekly)
· Hours Monday to Friday – Average 10 hrs per day
(working between 6am to 5pm to suit the work each day) and alternate Saturday mornings – 7am to 1pm
· Reliable weekly pay (Tuesdays) via our in-house payroll team
· Full uniform provided (after qualifying period)
· No overnight stays
AGGREGATE BAGGING MACHINE OPERATOR / GENERAL YARD ASSISTANT
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team on a part time basis.
(Thursdays & Fridays or Fridays & Mondays – 8am to 4pm each day) based in Astwood Bank.
Your main role will be operating our aggregate bagging plant.
No experience necessary as full training will be given. Candidate must be physically fit as role involves lifting of 20kg bags and palletising them.
Other duties will include the general upkeep of the yard, re-stocking products in our warehouse and assisting customers with lifting/loading.
A full clean driving licence would be advantageous but not essential.
Minimum wage per hour.
