1970s pipework 🤮👴

Turning back the clock today on a leak at a customers house from the wrong type of fitting used in a previous repair, after a good amount of research i found the original pipework manufacturer and put the correct fitting on to correct the leak 😎

Emergency callout 🚨 ‼️

Customer called at 10pm to say there was water coming through her ceiling, culprit was an old fill valve that had broken the backplate of the spout and was half filling the cistern and half filling the ceiling 🫠😤.

Spent an hour that night making it safe, taking the toilet out and removing the sink and the counter top for access NIGHTMARE!

Next morning new fill valve installed and the bathroom put back together and cleaned down like I was never there 😁😎

Turn sound up high 👨‍🔧☝️☝️☝️

Customer stated that their was a loud sound coming from the pipes when she used her bath 🧏‍♂️

This is some hammer water the whole house was shaking did a good few tests on the pipework throughout the house to make sure it’s definitely the bath doing it and not some loose pipework. 🤔

😁 Sorted quiet and peaceful in the home now 🏃🔧👨‍🔧

To find a leak in a holiday home 🏡 💦

I was approached by a company with an unknown leak found by one of the cleaners in the kitchen area in Skelton 🏃🪠

Did a few tests and checked a few pipelines and found this luckily caught early with minimal damage to the floor which should dry and sadly a warped counter stand 🫠

Old cast iron toilet today and some radiators to remove ready to install new ones and decorate for a customer in Redcar and one in Ormesby,

Cast iron toilet roughly dated to the 1930’s - 1950’s super old bit of kit but until recently was working, don’t make them like they used to nearly 50-60 years without a hiccup 😅

Emergency callout 🚨

Customer had water coming through their ceiling after they started putting down extra screws in the chipboard to stop them creaking, well of course they go straight the cold water mains pipe dead centre 😳

Because of the awkward positioning of the joist being between two rooms we decided to go from below and replace a small section of pipe.

Fixed from phone call to leaving the home fully fixed water back on within 2 hours 👨‍🔧💪

Can I catch a break PLEASE!, Another bath delivered to a customer with a crack in it that’s 2 jobs 5 baths I wish I was joking 🙃 🤯🤬

fyi these were like this from delivery I had just taken off the cardboard surround on the front after I had started fitting it

Always check your deliveries with a fine tooth comb lesson learned 😵‍💫🫠
