(Works carried out over the weekend)

⚠️ Customer had a huge leaking issue in their gully

On inspection we found the entire gully had been laid in sections of 1.50m using code 3 lead with lead sealant to seal all the the laps, not to mention no water falls what so ever to timber work so it was leaking like a sieve! Not to mention all the bodge repairs that had been carried out by other roofing companies trying to fix the issue with bitumen felt and every mastic available to them 😩🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ 🤠

Either way we gave the customer our full advice and they accepted our quote to fully redo.

We opted to rip out the entire gully and start again, re boarding with correct falls.
We then fibreglassed the entire gully using res-Tec 2020 with new lead outlets.

For total peace of mind we also lead capped the entire parapet wall using code 5 lead just above the gully as there was no DPC course within the wall, we did not want to run the risk of re doing the entire gully for then the porous stone above to leak into our new gully.

We also changed the flashings to the roof abutment wall above the gully, as you can imagine from the state of the gully…..that was also not fit for purpose.
Not a world in sight and again sealant on all the laps and even on corners 🤦🏽‍♂️

One happy customer back in the dry with full peace of mind and guarantee going into the winter.
