A little behind-the-scenes on the alcove unit we’re currently building 👌

In this video, I’ve taken two pieces of oak-veneered MDF and added oak edging to the exposed edges, giving the finished piece the look and feel of a solid oak board. 🌳

It’s all in the details — a simple technique, but it makes a huge difference to the finished look.

These will form part of the shelves/worktop for the alcove unit. Once everything has been oiled and the alcove unit itself has been painted, I’ll be sharing the finished project — so keep an eye out! 👀

🔨 Another job completed!

A customer got in touch after struggling to find someone willing to take on the job of boxing in the pipes in her downstairs toilet. She’d been quoted some crazy prices elsewhere, so I went round, had a look and came up with a practical solution.

I framed everything out and used moisture-resistant MDF to create a neat, tidy finish.

A few details I included to make sure everything remains accessible:

✅ 2 access covers — one underneath the boiler and another beside the toilet
✅ A removable box section to cover the pipes running up to the boiler
✅ A removable basin pedestal, so the pipework can still be accessed when needed
✅ Everything framed securely and finished off neatly

The aim was to hide all the pipework while still making sure nothing was permanently boxed in and inaccessible.

Today’s first job was a wall panelling project using Astragal moulding, giving the wall a clean and classic finish 👌

Then it was onto the second job — fitting two 4-panel doors to finish things off nicely 🚪🔨

Another job completed 🔨✨

I fitted 3 Chevron Oak veneered doors along with 2 glazed Chevron Oak veneered doors, all supplied by Leader Doors.

The doors were paired with black mitred handles from Howdens, giving them a really smart, modern finish. 👌

I also fitted new skirting board in the porch, repaired the existing door frame, and finished it off with new Torus architraves.

Really happy with how this one turned out — the Chevron doors and black hardware work really well together! 🔥

Kitchen & Utility Room Transformation! ✨

Another job completed, and what a difference it’s made! 👌

I renewed the worktops in both the kitchen and utility room, fitted a new sink and fully plumbed it in, removed and refitted the hob, then tiled the lot with a stylish wavy-edged tile.

Finished off with black grout to really make the tiles stand out and give the whole space a sharp, modern look. 🖤

Couple of repair jobs done and dusted 🙌🏼
First job had 2 walls re plastered due to moulding, we took a piece of the old skirting board and had to get it specially made due to it being very old and not being sold.
Second job a shed roof was rotting on the front due to poor workmanship beforehand, we fixed the frame work and changed the rotting pieces of vgroove cladding and added a fascia to finish it off, finally we made a new support bracket for the canopy due to rot, we routered the edges so it matches the other

✔️ Fitting oak veneered skirting boards throughout the hall, kitchen, and utility room
