⚡ SEPTEMBER COMPLIANCE FOCUS: EICRs ⚡

We’re kicking off our IDES Compliance Series with one of the fundamentals of electrical safety - Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).

An EICR assesses the condition of your electrical installation, identifying deterioration, defects and potential hazards before they develop into bigger and potentially more costly problems.

For businesses, an up to date EICR is an important part of protecting your staff, customers and premises, while demonstrating that electrical safety is being properly managed.

Regular inspections can also help identify issues early, reducing the risk of electrical failure, disruption and unexpected repair costs.

EICRs are typically recommended every 3-5 years, depending on the type and use of the premises and the condition of the installation.

We’re pleased to showcase our latest retail fit-out for Reformation on King Street, Manchester.

Working on behalf of Jones & Andrews Ltd, IDES delivered the complete electrical installation for the new store, including new distribution, general and emergency lighting, display and window lighting, decorative chandeliers, signage supplies and full electrical and data infrastructure for the Retail X system.

Located in the heart of Manchester city centre, the project demanded a high-quality finish in keeping with Reformation’s distinctive store design and premium brand.

Delivered to a fixed opening deadline, this marks our first Reformation project and another fantastic addition to IDES’ growing retail portfolio.

Another retrofit spray booth lighting upgrade completed by the IDES team. 💡

The existing booth lighting was upgraded to our modern, high-performance BOOTHLUX LED fittings, providing a brighter, more consistent working environment and improving visibility & colour accuracy within the booth.

Upgrading existing spray booth lighting can also help reduce energy consumption and ongoing maintenance, whilst extending the life of the installation, without the need to replace the entire spray booth.

A great result and a noticeable improvement. 👏

We have just completed site handover at the new Animal in Chiswick 🐻⚡

Working alongside Main Contractor Giles Davies, our team delivered all electrical works - taking the project from a shell unit to a fully functioning high street store in just 4 weeks.

This one was a fast paced project, and a great one to be involved with from start to finish.
