Summer flooring at its best ☀️

This herringbone floor install had to match an existing floor which could no longer be purchased.

I machined 3000 pieces of red oak, made so the majority were quarter sawn making the rays of the oak visible.

You can see the beautiful pattern in the photo.

I laid down underlay, then the herringbone, then sanded, stained, & varnished for a completed project the client and myself loved.

Helping a wine connoisseur’s dream come to life ✨

Here is a previous project from a client in Toronto who owned a rather large wine collection.

I turned an unused utility room into a luxury wine cellar using silver maple.

I crafted striking focal point that would be framed by the entry door as one walked toward & into the cellar.

The central cabinet is curved both along the front & the top. I also sequence matched the maple for both doors, each bordered with purple heart banding.

If you look closely, the joining line between the two doors is curvilinear rather than vertically straight with the banding following that same sinuous line.

Made from a combination of MDF and wood mouldings.

I also completed the project with a white paint and glossy finish.

The perfect addition to any walkway ✨

One side being a reading nook, the other a small office desk.

Each side has a curved front, one side having a curved desk, and the opposite side a curved seat with a pullout drawer underneath.

The desk has a lovely deep blue leather insert, with a seat & matching blue fabric.

I was finally able to get back to photograph this unit after its painting. I & my friend (client, in this instance) are very pleased with the result. I really like the proportions.

When walnut and maple work perfectly ✨

The panels in the drawers this maple & walnut unit are made with a walnut burl veneer with purple heart banding, the base and legs are made from the same combination.

The centre drawers are made of walnut, walnut burl, and purple heart banding.

Lastly, the casework is bird’s eye maple and the drawers either side are crafted with curly maple.

A perfect piece to make any home feel timeless.

You shouldn’t be afraid to use a bit of gold.

Especially for something as special as a prayer alter.

I’m revisiting one of my old projects and really enjoyed extending my repertoire to all varieties of furniture.

My work goes beyond furniture! 👏🏻

Recently I finished a tile backsplash. The client wanted a mixed pattern of herringbone and horizontal tiling, so that’s exactly what they got.
